Lemm Elementary School – Klein Independent School District

Lemm Elementary School consists of a renovation following Hurricane Harvey to an existing facility that was built in 1980 with the last addition taking place in 1995. The school was flooded during Hurricane Harvey. During this time, the staff and students were displaced to Klein Cain High School where they spent the remainder of the school year. After Harvey, the renovation of Lemm began. The intent was to restore the school and incorporate a Next Gen learning environment, along with elements such as security, building efficiency, sustainability and natural lighting.

Major features of the school include:
◼ New construction complying with new codes, and classroom, administration, and collaboration area additions
◼ Structured around flexible and collaborative learning
◼ Classrooms, per grade level, are grouped in clusters with a communal group space at the center
◼ Individual classrooms are shaped in a way that allows for the teacher to have flexibility on laying out a classroom
